What is the Niles-Buchanan-Cass Area Transportation Study?

The Niles-Buchanan-Cass Area Transportation Study (NATS) is the Michigan portion of the South Bend, Indiana Urbanized Area as designated by the United States Census.

NATS has two committees, the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and the Policy Committee (POL).  These two committees work cooperatively to make transportation related decisions for the NATS area.  The committees are made up of local representatives, transit providers, citizen reps, and elected officials from then nine NATS member municipalities.  These Committees also  have  representatives from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)

Meetings are open to the public and are an opportunity for you to come and learn about transportation initiatives in your community.
