Jerrid Burdue – Senior Development Planner

Email: burdue@swmpc.org Jerrid is the SWMPC’s Senior Development Planner. Jerrid’s role includes being staff leader in the SWMPC’s work as Economic Development District (EDD) to the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration. To that end, he is the author of the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), a documentation of the region’s economic strengths and the shared goals of economic development practitioners from across the region. Even more importantly, he helps leverage the CEDS to create economic opportunities for communities in the region. He has a degree in Economics and certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Michigan Technological University and a master’s degree in public policy from Western Michigan University. Jerrid is especially interested in using his expertise to make the economy work for everyone. He seeks creative opportunities to bring organizations together and work collectively to improve the region. |
